This document provides the specifications and configuration details for the production server used in our deployment process.

Overview​

The production server is designed to support quick & active deployment. The server is configured to meet the performance, security, and reliability needs of this environment.

Server Specifications​

  • CPU: Intel(R) Xeon(R) Gold 6348 CPU @ 2.60GHz
  • RAM: 31 GB
  • Storage: 1.1 TB
  • Operating System: Red Hat Enterprise Linux release 8.7 (Ootpa)
  • Network: NA

Software Stack​

  • Web Server: Nginx v1.14.1
  • Database: Postgres 15
  • Containerization: Docker v26.1.3
  • Caching: NA
  • Load Balancer: NA
  • Monitoring: SEQ

Security Configuration​

  • Firewall: Firewalld
  • SSL/TLS: Externally configured by SDC
  • Authentication: Password based SSH authentication with OTP based VPN

Backup and Recovery​

  • Backup Schedule: Daily backups at 12:00 AM
  • Backup Storage: Backups currently created on the same server (/var/opt/pgbackups)
  • Recovery Plan: Stores 7 historical daily backups, 3 historical weekly backups and 2 historical monthly backups.

Monitoring and Alerts​

  • Real-Time Monitoring: SEQ
  • Alerting: Not configured currently
